Barlow Art Center Art announces “Art From The Heart” which will start the newest exhibit at the art gallery. The opening reception will be Sunday March 1st from 2-4 at the Barlow Art Center 1126 E. Center St. in Marion and will include beverages and light refreshments. Guests will have the opportunity to get the first look at the new exhibit and speak to the artists about their inspiration.

This show celebrates women and the art they love to create. It will feature artwork of both emerging and established Marion women artists including Betty Newcomer, Lannette Davis, Brenda Brewer, Annette Temple Montis, Joyce Wilson, Ellen Hines, Patty Sharp, Lora Workman and Amy Medley. The exhibit will also include photographs by Jamie Hawkins and Colleen Gilpin.

As part of the Women’s Club Home, The Barlow Art Center challenges the traditional white walls used in a gallery by displaying art in a comfortable and historic setting.
