Aurora Colony Days

Jul
24–25

The weekend long celebration kicks off Friday night with an artist reception hosted by the Aurora Artists Association, followed Saturday morning by an “All-You Can-Eat” pancake breakfast cooked up by the Aurora American Legion Auxiliary and a 1k/5k run/walk, organized by the City of Aurora, starting at the Old Aurora Colony Museum. Museum admission is free on Saturday with living history demonstrations including the “Ring of Fire” wheel-making demonstration and a rummage sale. Other Aurora Colony activities include the popular Outdoor Antiques Faire, Art Show & Sale, and Old Aurora Annual Parade. On Saturday night Aurora’s friends and neighbors can dance the night away to the music of the “Big Night Out Band” at the City of Aurora’s free “Celebration in the Park.” For more information visit the Old Aurora Colony Museum website, or call the Museum office.
