Celebrate Westerville Chautauqua

In addition to the Rotary’s annual July 4th Fun Run, Independence Day Parade, Westerville Symphony Orchestra concert, and yes, the fireworks display, Celebrate Westerville will play host to the week-long Ohio Chautaqua festivities, bringing Ohio history to life by actors who impersonate historical figures.  Visits from some Westerville historical figures are also a distinct possibility. Independence Week activities will even include an old-time baseball game, as the Ohio Village Muffins take the field against some Westerville residents for a gentlemanly day of leisure.  Teams will be decked out in full baseball attire from the 1800s, allowing everyone to witness how America’s Past-time used to be played.Old-time baseball, parades, fireworks, fun runs…and perhaps even a visit from Thomas Edison himself.  Westerville Independence Week will be a premium blend of Westerville’s past and present.
