Cinco de Mayo Pooch Parade

Cinco de Mayo is going to the dogs this year – for a great cause. The Moore Humane Society will hold its Annual Cinco de Mayo Pooch Parade Fundraiser to raise funds for animal rehabilitation and adoption. The event will take place Saturday from 3 -5 p.m. Rain date Sunday. Dog owners are invited to bring their canine companions to the Downtown Park in Southern Pines to participate in a variety of games, such as Bobbing for Bones, and contests, including a chance to win Best Costume, Best Owner Dog Duo, Best Canine Duo and Best Dog Trick. There will also be vendors present. Southern Pines K9 Unit will be our honored guests presenting the skills of their exceptionally trained dogs for the public to enjoy.
