Civil War Encampment at Caesar’s Creek Pioneer Village

Sep
12–13

Learn about the life of a soldier in 1863. Groups re-enacting soldiers representing infantry, artillery, and cavalry units from Ohio and other states will be camped in the Village. The soldiers will have their encampments around the Village and will be helping us by presenting a living history of the Civil War. They will be giving presentations about different aspects of the Civil War from how life was to what weapons were used and medical treatments which were common practice in the day. See the units square off on the battlefield each afternoon.
