Cognitive Therapy for Challening Problems

Keynote speaker Leslie Sokol, Ph.D., distinguished founding fellow and past president of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, will offer her
insights on the application of cognitive therapy to various clinical issues. This
program, co-sponsored by the GCU Counseling Psychology Program and the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research, allows participants to select either the half-day program
featuring Dr. Sokol or the full-day program that also includes opportunities
for experiential training activities. Dr. Sokol, a close associate of Aaron T. Beck, M.D., the world-renowned
founder of cognitive behavior therapy, has lectured both nationally and internationally. She has extensive experience in private practice, hospital, and clinical training settings.
