Fall Finale at Wahkeena

For the safety of our staff and visitors, all in-person programming has been suspended for the 2020 season.

The final wildflowers of the year line the sunny edges of the wetlands, forest and the open meadows. Hike the site to see these flowers that are a valuable source of energy for insect preparing for the coming of winter. Find out why the yellow goldenrods are not the main cause of allergies and why it was once revered as a medicinal plant. Other interesting folklore will be discussed.
