Fiesta de las Calabazas
The Fiesta de las Calabazas, founded in 2000 as a pumpkin or harvest festival to celebrate the beginning of the fall season in southern Arizona, will feature – of course – a pumpkin corral. Free pumpkins will be given to the first 200 kids age 10 and under. Two live music stages, handmade art and craft vendors, kids activities and food are also part of the festivities. The public can vote on their favorite gourd art created by local school students and on display at the Gourd Gallery. The historic Kannally Ranch House at the park will be open for self- guided tours and will feature a community artists exhibition in the living room. Ride the shuttle bus to the festival site from the Oracle courthouse parking lot north of the post Office and pay only $2 per person (ages 13 and under free). There is no additional charge to attend the festival or concerts.
