Filley, NE celebrates its 125th anniversary filled with fun events, games for the children, a barbecue, and celebration all around.

Linda J. Alexander will be there Saturday, 6/7/08, from 1 PM – 3 PM selling & signing her biography of Golden Era movie star, Robert Taylor, who was born in Filley in 1911. “Reluctant Witness: Robert Taylor, Hollywood, & Communism” tells of Taylor’s early roots in Nebraska, where he was known as Spangler Arlington Brugh, & his rise to superstardom during the most glamorous period in Hollywood history . . . yet, even as Robert Taylor, he never forgot his Nebraska roots.
