Flights of our Fathers Fly-In

The BFTS Flights of Our Fathers Fly-In is a salute to veterans of all service branches. We take our hats off and recognize the honor and valor of the fallen, and among them we specially recognize the six young men from Terrell who gave their lives for our Country.

A flag raising ceremony at 7:15 a.m. kicks off the event, followed by an assortment of activities that last throughout the day, including a pancake breakfast, an amazing display of vintage and new aircraft (including a MI-24 Hind helicopter), F-16 flight simulator, BBQ cook-off (benefitting Relay for Life), demonstrations by the Texas Heatwave Aerobatic Team, hot air balloon tethered rides (weather permitting), food court, and tours of the BFTS Museum.
