The Menno Fourth of July Celebration starts early the day before the 4th with the Menno Road Races. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the race starts at 8 a.m. at the Fire Hall at 302 S. 5th St. Races include a 10K, 5K and a kids’ one-mile race

The annual 4th of July Parade begins at 11 a.m. The Kiddy Parade starts at 10:50 a.m. All floats are to register in front of the Menno City Auditorium

Following the parade, the Menno FFA Pork Barbecue serves a meal at the Menno City/School Auditorium and the American Legion serves a meal at the American Legion Hall.

The Menno Mad Frogs play a baseball game on July 4 with fireworks at the conclusion of the game, generally around 9:30-9:45 p.m.

Fireworks Sales: The Menno Athletic Club sells fireworks each year as a fundraiser for the summer sports programs for area youth. The stand is open June 27 through July 5 and is located at the corner of Hwy 18 and Pine Street.
