Food booths and vendors open at 4pm on the Riverfront. Games and activities for children all day. Best Ever 4th of July Parade begins at 4pm at Old High School on Washington and ends at the Riverfront Park. Marching Bands, Antique Horse Drawn Fire Equipment belonging to the Hermann Fire Dept are popular features of the parade. At 5:15pm there will be a Kids Tractor Pull at the Riverfront Park, with the Owensville Fire Department offering the pedal tractors for the kids to ride. 6pm there is an auction of donated items. 7pm is a Welcome by the Chamber President and announcement of Who’s Who Contest winners. The Hermann Municipal Band will play marches and patriotic songs at Clara Eitmann Messmer Amphitheatre at Gutengerg between 4th and 5th St. at 7:30pm. The Fireworks sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce will begin at 9:15pm.
