Gold Pan at Medoc Mountain State Park

Lightly sift the various creek bars of Bear Swamp Creek and Little Fishing Creek in a search for gold?both fool?s gold and the real stuff! A park ranger will lead the prospecting from the main park office and the park has pans available for up to 10 participants. Unbeknown to most, one of the state?s largest gold veins transects the region surrounding Medoc Mt. State Park. Call the park office to register. The event begins at 2 pm.
