23

Join Arc Staff, Ethan King and Andrea Jaeger on a hike to learn about Fort Hill’s ancient earthworks. This hike begins at the Circle Mound, a well-preserved Hopewell-era circular walled enclosure with a diameter of 170 feet. From there we will hike the Fort Trail up to the hilltop and into Fort Hill’s earthen ridgetop enclosure constructed by American Indians 2000 years ago. Following the wall for a considerable distance, you will get to see some of the best views of the earthwork. Bring a daypack, water and lunch to eat on the trail.
