Henry County Beekeepers – New Club
The State of Georgia has 159 counties and only 16 Bee Clubs. There is no Henry County Beekeepers Club and have you ever wanted to be a Charter Member in a club?
When you join or belong to a bee club, everyone benefits. The new beekeepers get to learn from the experience of the old timers and the old timers get the satisfaction of keeping the tradition alive. Bee Clubs hold short courses, picnics, potlucks, and give presentations at churches, fairs, schools and other events to get the word out. It’s always nice to sit for a coffee and talk to someone with like interests. An added benefit is if you belong to a club, you can get a discount to subscriptions of Bee Culture and American Bee Journal. We are definitely looking for the new beekeeper as well as the veterans.
Please plan to attend our initial meeting, 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at 116 Zack Hinton Parkway South, McDonough, Georgia.
