Historic Happy Valley Old-time Fiddlers Convention

Labor Day Weekend. Located on the site of Laura Foster’s grave of the Tom Dooley fame, the convention offers old-time and bluegrass group and individual competitions. Along with instrument playing, the event offers folk singing, instrument making, old-time dance demonstrations, hayride tours, corn shucking, flat foot competitions, and local home-cooked delicacies.
The Jones Farm is on N.C. 268 in Caldwell County, 8.2 miles east of US 321 and 18.4 miles west from US 421.
