Music, culture and heritage are celebrated during the Hockhocking Festival at Robbins Crossing, Hocking College. Ohio's official sanctioned Flat Pick Guitar and Claw Hammer Banjo championships on Saturday. Bring an instrument and take part in jam sessions  Storytellers/liars contest, instrument builders, group musical instruction on folk instruments and a make-and-take area where homemade musical instruments are created. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, or ride the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway shuttle train into Nelsonville and back.
