Holiday lighting ceremony kicks off the Christmas Season!

Gather at the Historic Bandstand on the downtown courthouse square on Friday evening and help kick off the Christmas season with the Holiday Lighting Ceremony. The ceremony includes Holiday music, performances, hot cocoa and baked goods, and special recognition to the American Cancer Society”Love Lights a Tree”, and concludes with annual “flipping of the switch” to turn on holiday lights for the downtown business district. Saturday events for children include the annual Candy Cane Treasure Hunt, old-fashioned holiday horse and buggy rides, and Santa makes his first official visit in his new Santa House. Santa visits with children that day and every Thursday evening in December up until Christmas.
