Lecture – Sister Societies

Historian and author Beth Salerno will share her extensive research on female anti-slavery societies of the 1830s to 1850s, showing that women were the backbone of the movement. She discovered more than 200 such groups in the Northeast, including five in Vermont. Books will be available for sale and signing.
