Lighthouse Legacies Quilt Show: Nature & Design

Lighthouse Quilters Guild in Racine, WI is pleased to announce their biannual quilt show, “2009 Lighthouse Legacies: Nature & Design.”

“Nature & Design,” is a judged show with entry open to all. The entry deadline is September 14 and forms/information are available at the guild’s website.

In addition to over 250 quilts there will be a special exhibit of “Water Challenge Quilts,” by the Professional Art Quilters Alliance; retrospective exhibits by two local award-winning quilters: Mary Piper (traditional) and Rhonda Rodero (contemporary); and a selection of pillowcases for US service personnel stationed in the Mid-East and quilts for local charities. There will also be a silent auction to benefit colon cancer, a boutique, a raffle quilt, quilt appraisers, bed turning, and vendors. Concessions will be available.

Racine is located on the shores of Lake Michigan midway between Milwaukee and the Illinois-Wisconsin state line. The show location is just 4 miles east of I-94 and the Hwy. 20 exit. There is ample parking and the building is wheelchair accessible.
