Mum Festival

Beginning the last weekend in October, Bellingrath’s horticultural staff will begin to install the cascading mums, potted mums and mum baskets throughout the 65-acre Garden estate. For over nine months, over 8,000 chrysanthemums in over 20 varieties, including “Chajin”, “Shinotome”, “Cherry Blossom” and “Himegokoromo”, have been carefully grown and cared for. They will be on display for only four short weeks. Talk about a labor of love! Mum Festival Family Day, which will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2005, will include a fun day for family members of all ages.
