October Stroll

Oct
3

The theme of the October Stroll was inspired by the practice of planting turnips along with wheat each fall. A carry over from our pioneer days, when Turnips were an important source of winter food, this practice today results in the town being inundated in turnips each fall. So, join us as we decorate them, turn them into little cars and race them, pitch them, and fire them using a giant turnip gun. Of course, we will have chances to taste them as well, with a recipe contest. Children aged 4 and up can compete in a pedal tractor pull. Music, crafts, and food complete the fun.
