Perkins Observatory

Gaze at the galaxies, count the craters on the moon, and enjoy an entertaining astronomy lesson along with a historical tour of this unique observatory built in 1923. The observatory is one man's dream, funded by income from raising pigs to feed the Union Army.

The observatory's 32" mirror is the second largest telescope in the state. Even when Ohio skies fail to cooperate for the best possible star gazing, the Perkins experience is one not to miss. Night or day, rain or shine, star gazing and storytelling at Perkins is a fun, educational, one of a kind experience–a great stop for a mystery tour, too!
