Play – Peasant of El Salvador

Created and performed by Peter Gould and Stephen Stearns, and written in response to the assassination of Archbishop Oscar Romero in San Salvador on March 24, 1980, the play is a stirring story of how one farmer and his family struggle to maintain their way of life amidst the turbulent events in El Salvador during the 1970s and 80s.
Combining sensitivity with humor, the play is interspersed with mime and Latin American music.
