Sandhills Annual Rural Heritage Food Tasting

Our Sandhills Annual Rural Heritage Food Tasting event occurs in September, at the end the market season – a perfect time to enjoy mouth-watering regional cuisine in an outdoor setting where community fellowship fuels the celebration. The annual food tasting serves as a fundraising event for Sandhills Family Heritage Association. 11am-1pm.

This culinary celebration is a chance for remembrance and celebration of the foods and recipes enjoyed throughout the Sandhills region and handed down through generations of African-American families.

Sprinkle in entertainment to explore African-American culture and history through music, dance, historic reenactments, storytelling and crafts for a family-friendly event of food and fun.
