Shawangunk Mountain Wild Blueberry & Huckleberry Festival

The Shawangunk Mountain Wild Blueberry & Huckleberry Festival, sponsored by the Ellenville/Wawarsing Chamber of Commerce, heralds the Blueberry industry that once was famous in this area. The Blueberry Festival day starts with a popular scrumptious Blueberry Pancake Breakfast fundraiser by Pioneer Engine Co. No. 1 from 7:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (there is a fee for the breakfast). The Street Festival opens to public at 9 a.m. and runs through 4 p.m._ RAIN or SHINE. Over 175 vendors of delicious foods, many types of crafts, artwork, merchandise. Cultural exhibits. Children’s entertainment area/activities(by day bracelet or individual ticket). Variety of live music all day – free. Lots and lots of BLUEBERRY GOODIES!! Homemade Blueberry Pie Contest. Many of our local businesses participate with specials for the day. A great annual Family/Community event looked forward to by many people from all over!
