Shindig on the Green

A joyously spontaneous celebration of traditional and old-time string bands, ballad singers, storytellers, big circle mountain dancers and cloggers on summer Saturday evenings, July and August, in downtown Asheville, NC. Stage show and informal jam sessions. The stage shows will take place on the new Bascom Lamar Lunsford stage, named for the founder of the Mountain Dance and Folk Festival, the nation’s longest running folk festival.
