State Park Motorcycle Run

The Michigan State Parks are hosting a Motorcycle Poker Run! 10 different locations in 8 different state parks covering a geographic area from Holly to Lake Orion to Chelsea to Brooklyn will be dealing cards to motorcycle riders on Sunday, June 8th. Visit at least 5 of them to get your 5-card poker hand, or hit up all 10 places and increase your odds for a better hand. When you’ve got the hand you want, go to one of three locations spread out within the run to play your winning hand. Every hand from a measly pair on up wins something. (There is no grand prize, one winner takes all hand like most poker runs.) Better hand = bigger prize!

All the dealing locations can be accessed from paved roads. You set your course and determine which ones you want to go to in what order. At some point during the run, after 10 a.m. but at least by 1:00 p.m., you must check in at the Pinckney SRA Silver Lake Day Use Area location. At Silver Lake you will be given a map of all ten locations that are dealing cards, pick up some cool swag and get last minute details. You will need that map to play your hand – it’s your proof of donation.

You have until 8 p.m. to finish your ride and play your hand at one of the end locations. End locations include Screams in Hell, Colasanti’s in White Lake and Knutsen’s Sporting Goods in Brooklyn. Proceeds from your $20 donation per bike will go to the Livingston and Washtenaw County Veterans Councils.
