Surviving extremes: From Penguins to Polar Bears Join us for intriguing stories of human and animal survival in extreme conditions. Celebrate the end of the International Polar Year with stories and activities. Get an up-close look at fur and feathers from animals of the Arctic and Antarctic. Make penguin puppets from recycled materials. Try your hand at carving a soap figure. Test a blubber mitt to see how polar bears can survive Arctic cold. Presenter: Cathy Regan, PhD., Education Coordinator, University of Colorado, Museum of Natural History Sessions: 10 am, 12:30 pm, and 2pm. Space is limited, so please register early.
