The Big Feed

Aug

Have you ever seen a giraffe’s tongue up close or wondered how the Zoo encourages the animals to remain active and stimulated in their enclosure? Here is your opportunity! Throughout the day visitors will see many of their favorite animals, from sharks to cheetahs to the Komodo dragon, devour thier dinners while interpreters describe what’s going on. Visitors will also learn about enrichment – activities that create a more stimulating enviroment and encourage species-typical and appropriate behaviors – and have an opportunity to make enrichment items for Zoo animals or their own pet.
