Troy Hometown Holidays Tree Illumination

Bring your family and friends to downtown Troy for the Grand Illumination. This is an event not be missed as Downtown Troy officially ushers in the Holiday season. The evening begins at 6 pm with a Christmas parade through the streets of Downtown Troy. Santa arrives at the end of the parade route greeting children and adults with a HO HO HO & a Merry Christmas!

At 7 pm, gather around Prouty Plaza for the annual reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” by Mayor Michael Beamish. Shortly following, join in the oohhh’s and aaah’s as the tree at the center od Downtown Troy shines brightly for all to see. Carriage rides, holiday music, scenes from Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol”, and a visit from Santa fill the evening. Come early to browse the shops throughout Downtown Troy for all your gift giving needs.
