NC Blackberry Festival

Jul
10–11

The North Carolina Blackberry Festival offers summer fun to all visitors – without the chiggers! In Caldwell County, blackberries are a part of every day life – children beg to go pick from the wild berries lining every bank and mothers take what isn’t eaten during the day for cobblers. Blackberry cobblers and jam are a strong part of local heritage.

* The Blackberry Princess pageant will kick off the event beginning at 10 a.m.
* Vendors with handmade items
* A wide selection of music will hit the main stage beginning at 1pm.
* Blackberry Eating Contest
* A children’s area will offer free fun throughout the day on the Square sponsored by the Family Resource Center in Lenoir.

10 a.m until 4 p.m.
