Museum of Natural History
Three major galleries focus on natural science and natural history of Iowa and the Midwest. Newly remodeled Hageboeck Hall features more than 1,000 birds. Mammal Hall displays nearly every order of mammal from aardvark to zebra, including a 48-foot skeleton of the rare Atlantic Right Whale. Spectacular dioramas in Iowa Hall lead visitors on a 500-million-year adventure through Iowa’s past.
