Grant Wood Studio and Visitor Center

Tour the original studio where artist Grant Wood lived and worked from 1924 to 1934. Designed and built by Wood, this light-filled carriage house loft was where he painted “American Gothic” and many other famous works. Operated by the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, which houses the world’s largest collection of Grant Wood artwork. Visitor Center is free; fee for studio tours. Visitor Center accessible to persons with disabilities.
