Harding Home & Harding Memorial – Ohio Historical Society
The Harding Home was built for Warren G. Harding and Florence King Harding during their engagement, and they married there on July 8, 1891. The Hardings lived here until 1921, when Harding became president.
It was from this residence Harding conducted his famous front porch campaign. While he lived here, Harding was the enthusiastic editor of the Marion Daily Star and Weekly Star, an Ohio Senator, and Ohio’s lieutenant governor. Restored to its original appearance, the house is open to the public.
