Shelby County Museum

Shelby County, one of the original counties in the Republic of Texas, is rich in history. The museum, a three-building complex, is filled with historical items from bearskins and bottles to spinning wheels and war bonnets. The museum is housed in the historic 1905 Weaver-Oates home at the corner of Thomas and Pecan sts., one block off the square.
