The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

THE SHORES: See eye-to-eye with manatees at Manatee Coast, let kids get hands-on at the Tidepool Touchtank, and catch all the colors of Discovery Reef, a 100,000 gallon salt-water aquarium. Plus penguins, sharks, alligators, flamingos and one of the top indoor reptile displays anywhere.

AUSTRALIA AND THE ISLANDS OF SOUTHEAST ASIA: Take a trip to the Land Down Under with koalas, kangaroos, kiwis and more. Feed the lorikeets, meet some nocturnal friends and hike through an Australian bird sanctuary. Then explore the islands of Southeast Asia ? either on foot or by Indonesian Water Taxi ? and come face-to-face with giant Komodo dragons, otters, gibbons and orangutans. 

AFRICAN FOREST: Set out on your own African expedition surrounded by rare bonobos, red river hogs, leopards, okapis and drills. Plus meet our world-renowned family of endangered lowland gorillas, including Colo, the first gorilla born in captivity. 

NORTH AMERICA: Roam the rustic scenery of our North America region where you can get up close with bison, bears, bobcats, cougars, river otters, bald eagles, wolves and wolverines.  Surround yourself with natural music and vivid colors in our Songbird Aviary.  And don?t miss Habitat Hollow, a kid-friendly interactive area, and the petting zoo at My Barn. 

ASIA QUEST: An experience so huge we had to call it a ?Quest.?  On your journey you?ll encounter giant fruit bats, langurs, sun bears, Asian elephants, red pandas, markhors and the magnificent endangered Siberian tiger.
