The Historic Village of Waterloo

The Canal is the perfect example of a busy village during the mid-late 19th century. Waterloo became an inland port with a guard lock and 23 inclined planes. The village quickly became a thriving community with gristmills, sawmill, blacksmith shop, church, school, tavern, a variety of residences and more!
