The Caribbean Association of North Alabama Inc (CANA) will host the largest North Alabama Family Fun Day – an Alabamian event from a Caribbean perspective, on Sunday from 11 am to 8pm at John Hunt Park Festival Grounds.
The purpose of the event is to introduce the public to the Caribbean culture, cuisine and lifestyle in a family-friendly environment.
A host of vendors selling curried, jerk, and stewed delicacies, as well as scores of other food and non-food items, will be on site to serve the festive crowd.
There will be a string of free activities such as face-painting, arts & crafts, Caribbean board games, musical chairs and a dozen others geared towards children and the entire family.
Attendees will be treated with a slew of Caribbean entertainment, like live reggae band, Caribbean dancing and performances by Soca Music artist.
Expect an amazing display of Caribbean culture and experience. There will be musical sounds pulsating the crowd with cool West Indian music on the backdrop of the warm summer breeze.
The event, which has lured tourist to Huntsville, is expected to attract Caribbean cuisine enthusiasts, as far as Georgia and Tennessee to participate in the event’s activities. Many activities will run up until the night.
