Each year, the event is hosted the weekend before Thanksgiving and helps kick start the local holiday shopping season. Area merchants kick off the holiday season with special sales on a variety of holiday gift items. Shoppers in downtown can enjoy carolers, visits with Christmas characters, a visit from Mrs. Claus and Santa, and carriage rides around the Courthouse.
