“Cousins in Clay”: Come for the Day–Come for the Weekend — A sale of Contemporary Ceramic Art in Seagrove, NC at Bulldog Pottery. Bruce Gholson and Samantha Henneke will be hosting this year’s special guests Jack Troy, renowned potter from Pennsylvania, ceramics author, teacher, and poet. Michael Kline from Bakersville, NC and is known for his floral brush imagery that gracefully wraps around his wood-fired pottery forms. Peter Lenzo from Columbia, SC reexamines the southern pottery face jug tradition, by creating his autobiographical head sculptures. Bruce and Samantha of Bulldog Pottery specialize in iridescent crystalline glazes and imagery that reflect their interests in the natural world. This is a special time to meet the potters, ask questions, and add to your pottery collection or begin one. “Cousins in Clay” is a pottery kinship based on shared appreciation for the pursuit of excellence within the diverse language of clay.

Michael Kline will be giving a brush work demonstration on Saturday at 2:00pm and on Sunday at 1:00pm. Gain insights into the work and activities of the potters at their individual blogs. Michael Kline writes: “Sawdust and Dirt”: at michaelklinepottery.blogspot.com and Samantha and Bruce writes: “Around and About with Bulldog”: at bulldogpottery.blogspot.com.
