Decorating the Tree & One Christmas – a Capote Reading

Families and children are invited to gather ’round the Christmas tree to make old-fashioned Christmas ornaments and paper-chain garland to decorate the tree. Immediately following at 7 p.m., join Everett Price for a reading of Truman Capote’s semi-autobiographical story, “One Christmas,” about Buddy who dreads leaving Alabama and his beloved Sook and dog Queenie, to visit his father for Christmas in New Orleans. Refreshments, including fruitcake and cider, will follow.
