Juneteenth Celebration

This is a free, fun, family-oriented annual event. Juneteenth or June 19 is the oldest observance of the end of slavery in the United States. Activities include a parade that starts at 10 am at 15th & Main and ends at the Fairground Park, an opening ceremony, live music and entertainment, children and youth activities, John Madden NFL video game tournament, a job fair, educational exhibits and speakers. There is a new state of the art swimming pool in addition to horseshoe, tennis, basketball courts and a softball fields that are available. 10 am to 6 pm.
