Kids Get Outdoors Day

Fun-filled day of fishing, casting, archery, air rifle shooting, and water safety games for children ages 14 years and under. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place winners who catch the largest fish and casting accuracy. The age groups are; 3-5yrs, 6-8yrs, 9-11yrs, and 12-14yrs. A free meal will be provided to all participants courtesy of local Walmart Stores. This event is done in partnership with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walmart Stores, Missouri Department of Conservation, Flowers Fisheries, J&J Enterprise, J&L Bait and Tackle, and Mingo Job Corps. Event will run from 7am – 12 noon. Pre-registration is required by contacting the Wappapello Lake Project Office.
