Lighting of Olustee Park

The Saturday after Thanksgiving Lake City’s Main Street comes alive with Christmas spirit. The lights at Olustee Park in Historic Downtown are lit at dusk and the park is transformed into a fairyland as thousands of lights illuminate the park and downtown businesses. The scene is set for the Holiday Happenings throughout the month of December. On the second Saturday of December the party really gets started with Crafts people and Artisans from throughout the area adding to the festive atmosphere of the Season. Olustee Park hosts Christmas entertainment by local groups. At dusk the Annual Christmas Parade begins with over 100 lighted entries. The parade ends in Olustee Park with the arrival of Santa Claus. You may visit Santa Claus in his gingerbread house Monday – Saturday. The Lighting of Olustee Park continues each evening until January 1st.
