Nehemiah Festival in Smithville, MO

Aug
28–30

Nehemiah mobilized the community and rebuilt the wall around Jerusalem in 52 days. That’s just about how many days after the Christian Family Day that the Nehemiah Festival will kick off!

The Nehemiah Fest is all about creating community! It is not so much about the music as it is the journey getting there. This local grassroots event is being coordinated by Smithville area Christian churches, business and individuals. The primary purpose of this event is to glorify God by uniting the corporate body of Christ-followers.

Admission to this event will be FREE! There will be some nominal site fees for campers, but you can enjoy the whole weekend of music and activities with your youth group, friends, and family absolutely free! (Donations are accepted.)

We are working on the line up, but we know that Bread of Stone, Jason Watson, and 9th Hour will be there. The Nehemiah Fest Construction Crew is now accepting press kits from interested Christian bands and artists to fill the schedule on THREE stages. This is a community and family event – so all genres are invited to apply – everything from bluegrass to hip-hop, from rock to country, and don’t forget PRAISE AND WORSHIP! We will be looking for solo and acoustic acts, as well as bands. E-mail [email protected] for more information on what is required. Deadline for submissions is August 16, 2007.
